While Huila benefits from exceptional coffee-growing conditions, the outstanding quality of coffees from the San Agustín region, including this lot, is ultimately the result of the dedication and expertise of its growers. Coffee production here is predominantly small-scale, with around 80% of producers cultivating less than three hectares of land.
 
These family-run farms are typically managed and worked by the families themselves, with outside labour used only occasionally. This hands-on approach allows for meticulous attention to every stage of cultivation and processing, fostering a deep sense of pride in the coffee they produce. For many growers, their coffee is more than a crop; it is a reflection of their family's hard work, knowledge, and identity.
