About
Nestled among the highlands of Burundi, this coffee showcases the distinctive character of a region known for producing elegant and expressive lots. Grown between 1,100 and 1,700 metres above sea level, the coffee benefits from the cool mountain climate and fertile soils that allow the cherries to mature slowly, developing layers of sweetness and complexity. Produced from Bourbon and traditional local heirloom varieties, this lot reflects the rich coffee heritage of Burundi and the care of the smallholder farmers who cultivate these exceptional beans.
Carefully processed using the washed method, the coffee is meticulously prepared to highlight clarity, balance, and depth of flavour. Roasted slightly darker to enhance its natural sweetness and body, it reveals notes of dark chocolate, ripe cherry, and forest fruits, creating a rich and indulgent cup while retaining the unique character of its origin. This is a coffee that celebrates the craftsmanship of Burundi's growers, bringing together traditional varieties, careful processing, and the remarkable flavours of the region.
